I think a lot. Not just when I am scrapping, pretty much the entire 18 hours I am awake. I recently took a strengths test where I scored 98 out of a possible 100 for thinking. 96 out of 100 for Recognition and Winner, 93 out of a possible 100 for Information Excavator. I can’t say any of this really surprised me – I had already given the matter a great deal of thought, but with the information right there in front of me I took to pondering – ‘Yes, but what does it mean?’. Well, to sum it all up… I am an all or nothing kinda gal. This is not new information either, In fact my husband has been complaining about this fact for 8 whole years.
I do what I want, when I want and when I do, I give it everything I’ve got. I used to think this was a bad thing, people often shy away from the intensity I put out. If I don’t manage said intensity with things like rest, exercise and nourishment, I become burnt out super quick, It also means I can obsess for hours, days or even weeks on a single project (sorry Olya, I swear I am getting there), sometimes my mood is highly effected by how well (or not so well) my project is going, but in truth this mindset has produced some of my most Epic achievements. I am often asked how I get my project life and scrapbook pages to look so perfect. The answer is complete and utter absorption in the process and drive for perfection. I give everything I do 110% and a lot of thought.
For a very long time I have been trying to keep this part of me in check, but as I get closer and closer to my 30th birthday, I think maybe I have been looking at this all wrong. Why am I trying to limit this side of me when it produces such great results? With care and attention (sleep, exercise and a good diet) I could be doing EPIC things everyday! I’ve decided that is going to be my motto for my following birthday year and all good motto’s need a Project Life Card (sized to 3×4 for your connivence), feel free download any or all of the ones below or the pink one up the top. God knows we could all do with more epic things in our our life.
All that I ask is that you tag me on instagram should you decide to use the card in one of your spreads or if you blog be sure to link back to this post.
Well, that about wraps it up for this week. I hope you all have a great weekend and if you feel like it please feel free to share your thoughts on epic things in the comments 🙂
