Welcome to week 8:20130620-091405.jpgNo other week personified the old adage ‘It was the best of times, it was the worst of times’ better than this week. We handed back the keys on the old house this week. I loved that house so much. It was the first home I had with CJ. I also made it well known that I wasn’t too keen on the new house. It was a real challenge adjusting to the new setting. The new house has a state of the art oven with more dials and switches than you can imagine. It also has no manual. The darn thing kept cremating everything I put in it. That’s a very distressing thing for a baker who knew her old oven so well, she never needed to use a timer.20130620-091503.jpg There were a lot of happy moments too. Valentines day is a good example. It’s a little hard to see in the photo in the middle row but CJ bought me a long strand of solar powered fairy lights that wraps around the courtyard. It doesn’t seem like a lot but I see them every single night as I am getting ready for bed and again if I get up during the night. They light up the backyard from dusk till dawn and they make me feel safe, when I look out over the yard. It’s funny how the smallest things can make such a big difference. 20130620-091615.jpgI love these photos. For Valentines day, CJ and I went to Pizza Hut for dinner. I get that doesn’t sound all that romantic, but there was no Pizza Hut in Echuca and all you can eat was a new exciting concept. As a Man, it was his duty to play with his cheese. I can except that. When I stuck the photos down though, it looked so bare. The twine, I think, is a wonderful accent and the ‘Be My Valentine’ stamped on the photo makes a great tittle.20130620-091713.jpgLastly we have a filler card from the Studio Calico kit. It had to altered because in the red type, right in the middle, it said: Baby-sitter. Umm no, wouldn’t be needing one of those. I used a stamp from Kelly Purkey’s Valentine collection to gold glitter emboss over the top. I like it much better my way.
