Hi, I am over on the Citrus Twist Blog today, hosting the ‘3 to Inspire’ challenge. I’d love it if you stopped by or decided to play along. You can find all the details over there, but right here and now let me tell you about the layout. Progress is a bit different to my usual layouts because of it’s philosophical nature.
It has a lot to do with my current condition actually. I am the first to admit that I can be a giant pain in the butt to work with. I set incredibly high standards for myself and if the finished product isn’t perfect, then it often deemed a waste of time. Or at least that was what it was like when I had all the time and energy in the world. At 7 months pregnant the world is a very different place. I am tired ALL THE TIME and I can’t stand in front of my desk for hours like I used too. I have slowly come learn that perfection is nice, but with dwindling energy reserves it might just be to higher price to pay, especially if the process makes you misrable. Progress on the other hand can be just as fulfilling, without draining me of all the energy I have and I may later rescind this remark, but I am even beginning to understand that there is beauty in imperfection. So if you were wondering what was written on the hidden tag – that’s pretty much it, in a nut shell.
On a less philosophical plain, most the supplies for this layout have come from the this months Citrus Twist Main Kit and Embellishment kit. I added the neon tag from kikki-k. The digital stamp on the photo comes from Paislee Press’s ‘On my Desk‘ Collection and the wreaths are a cut file from the Silhouette store. The rest is all my work in progress 😉
