Yesterday marked a week since we returned from Perth. I was hoping for a week to settle back in. A week like this:20130806-080216.jpgIt didn’t quite happen that way, but you know what they say: No rest for the wicked.

I have a couple of things to share with you today. First off, something I have been dying to show you since I finished it last week. 20130806-080648.jpg This is just a tiny sneak peek of a mini book I put together myself using Polka Dot Creative’s July kit and some odds and ends I had lying around. Jodie’s kits are so amazingly versatile for projects like this and as much as it pains me to say it, it was nice to have a little break from Project Life spreads. To have a look at my mini book in all it’s glory, head over here to the Polka Dot Creative blog. I would love you to leave me some love while you’re over there. Let me know what think?

Second cab off the rank is a post I wrote yesterday for Life. Paper. Scrapbook. I was asked to write an article on my insights and process when working on Project Life. I have never written a post like this before. I’m not so sure that it will help anybody, but it does give you a quick look into the mad hatter tea party going on in my head. 20130806-084513.jpgAnd last, but by no means least, I have a new scrapbooking layout up on the One Little Bird Blog. Here’s the thing, sometimes as part of a creative team you are asked to work with products you don’t 100% love. Now anyone who knows me knows I don’t like working with red, so I was pretty sure this was going to be one of those kits. I’ve got to say though, I was pleasantly surprised. I LOVE the page I created. I love what everybody else created and have even gone on to make more with it after my job was done. I can see myself using the camera and phone buttons and stickers a lot in the future too. So what is this amazing kit you ask?

It even had matching journaling cards:

There’s great news for you too! Until the end of the month it’s 30% off! Be sure to pick up your digital kit here while it’s on sale.
